For the trip of a lifetime, many people from the UK consider Australia as their primary destination and with good reason. It offers a hugely varied landscape, from tropical beaches and reefs, to barren desert and no trip will be long enough to really know and understand the continent; it is just so vast.
The range of hotels through the country is also excellent, from Sydney accommodation to small exclusive beach hotels and resorts.
Whilst Australia is an exotic destination for the Brits, it is also surprisingly close to home in many regards, so those who are a little fearful of holidays abroad find it easier and more enjoyable. They speak the same language, eat much of the same food; and many of us have relatives and friends who live in Australia making it a real home from home.
Australia is home to some world class tourist attractions such as Ayres Rock and the Sydney Opera House – real icons of the country which they represent. You could spend weeks upon weeks in the country touring around and would never get bored.
Then there is a huge attraction for those who enjoy the outdoor life, from snorkelling in clean and clear blue water, to surfing the waves. There really is something to appeal to everyone in this beautiful and rugged country.
